Account Manager, NLP Software for Healthcare Applications, Eastern US

Thanks to a great team and innovative use of natural language processing (NLP) based technology, our software is acknowledged as a leading solution in the pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare industries and is used by most of the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies, major health systems, insurers and academic medical centers, and governmental organizations such as the FDA and NIH. We are now looking for an experienced account manager to help drive the growth of our healthcare business in the Eastern US.


Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Develop new healthcare business across multiple clients and territories in the Eastern US. Key targets include academic medical centers, payers, health systems and federal organizations
  • Travel to customer sites and trade shows to present the Linguamatics solution and its benefits
  • Seek, identify and develop new software license and professional services opportunities, progress them through the sales cycle, and negotiate and close deals
  • Develop new customer relationships and proactively develop and enhance new business opportunities within established customers
  • Work closely with other parts of the Linguamatics organisation in the US and UK to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and achievement of revenue targets



  • Minimum 5 years direct sales experience, including closing new customers and account management in the healthcare industry
  • Track record of closing high value deals, and ability to sell at the enterprise level
  • Track record of building and maintaining long term customer relationships
  • Established contacts in the healthcare industry
  • Experience of selling complex technical solutions, including software, SaaS, and professional services, with ability to recognise new business opportunities
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Intelligent and highly motivated self-starter
  • Education to at least BA/BS level in a scientific/medical discipline
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Familiarity with search, text mining, analytics, or informatics software as well as familiarity with Cloud based solutions is desirable
